Sidenote: Hanoi is by far the noisiest place I have ever been-I would say it even beats living in the res halls! Currently there is a drumbeat coming from somewhere outside, music that sounds like The Wheels on the Bus, constant honking, plus kids playing in the park and I would consider this a relatively quiet time!
This is my house from the outside. It goes up five stories.
This is the street that I live on (the redish roof on the left is my house). It is the most residential looking street I've seen in Hanoi. My neighborhood is a new development called Trung Yen. You might say I live in the Queen Anne of Hanoi...
Here are three of the four locks between the outside and me. My family is very security conscious, quite unnecessarily in my opinion....
And here is a little guided tour :) Please Enjoy.
Sadly this is the spot of the video of the downstairs, which is clearly not present at this time. For some reason it has decided to rebel against me and not load. Maybe I will be able to add it later but for now the tour of my room will have to do....
And finally, here is an awkward self timer picture :)

Good job! I loved the tour. And the baby picture is great! Good job on the TV too!!
ReplyDeletei think what you meant to say is that you live in the posh, cushy part of hanoi? ;) (where you barely have to ride xe dap)
