Calah and I survived 30 hours of flying and layovers and are now here at the home of one of the MCC workers, Derek and his family, which will be our home for the next two weeks (we don't move in with our host families until the 30th-ish). So far everything is good. We ate pho for lunch, are resting now, and then are off to the MCC office to get a brief introduction to things. It's kind of just surreal at this point. But I'll keep you updated!
The only potentially sad thing is that I may have left my camera on the airplane. I know, not good. (Allyn if you read this know that I kept track of my things so well this time, clearly until the very very end) Lame.
Here is a picture from Calah's camera of us as we are landing in Hanoi. These are our we are finally in Viet Nam faces!
AHH! So great!! Let the adventure begin :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you are there! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't say anything about your camera...I left my BRAND NEW sunglasses on the plane. lame.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have found your camera by now. let me know, otherwise we will start a lost items list between the two of us, and see where we are in a year. i fear the list will be looonnngggg.
Bolivia is great so far, but mostly orientation on the MCC grounds. We leave for language school tomorrow, so I will let you know how that goes:) Miss you already BFF!
I'm so glad you got there safely! I'm excited to hear about your amazing adventures, thanks for keeping us all updated.
ReplyDeleteI think this blog should be named "It's the best idea I've had." Period.
